 |

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago presented the Julius Rosenwald Memorial Award to Edward A. Fox for his work on issues such as elderly care and Holocaust remembrance.

Fox has served as chair of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation Board as well as chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago for a combined total of 30 years.

During his tenure at both organizations, Fox oversaw a local resettlement program for Soviet Jews, held the groundbreaking of the Weinberg Community for Senior Living in Deerfield, Ill., and assisted with the passage of hate-crimes legislation in Illinois.
