Durham Arts Council names development director

DURHAM, N.C. – The Durham Arts Council named Rebecca Hankins as its new director of development and external affairs.

Hankins, who received her Masters in Museum Studies from Seton Hall University, is former director of annual giving at Saint Peter’s College in New Jersey.

Hankins has also worked at Aljira, a center for contemporary art in Newark, N.J., and at New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

The Arts Council supports the arts in Durham and the Triangle area through fundraising, grants, coordination of exhibits, classes and other activities.
