Arts & Science Council gets new logo

The Arts & Science Council of Charlotte-Mecklenburg has set a new course focused on marketing and generating awareness of arts and culture, symbolized by an updated logo.

Beginning last January, the council conducted about phone surveys with about 2,000 people, as well as focus groups and stakeholder meetings, all of which helped shape the new approach.

The new brand, followed by the tagline “Building appreciation, participation and support for the arts and culture in Charlotte-Mecklenburg,” is meant to convey how the council brings together diverse people, interest and cultures to create a more vibrant community, the council says.

The logo was developed by Charlotte advertising agency Wray Ward Laseter.
