Pope Foundation awards grants

RALEIGH, N.C. — The John William Pope Foundation, based in Raleigh, announced humanitarian, religious, cultural and educational grants totaling $1 million for more than four dozen North Carolina organizations.

The grants, which range from $1,000 to $250,000, primarily will support programs in Wake and Vance counties.

The Foundation also awarded $125,000 to the Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Va., and $100,000 to the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.
