Charlotte arts council seeks proposals

CHARLOTTE — The Arts & Science Council of Charlotte is requesting proposals for its Cultural Project Grants program, which provides grants of up to $10,000 to nonprofits based in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.

The grants are meant to increase access to arts, science and history education in the Charlotte area as well as strengthen the quality of cultural programming by funding broad-based projects.

Grants will be awarded to projects or initiatives operating between July 1, 2007, and June 15, 2008.
