Silicon Valley foundation hires grantmaker

 |

Eleanor Clement Glass, a 25-year veteran of the nonprofit world, was appointed chief giving officer of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in January.

She will be in charge of grantmaking, donor engagement, convening, community initiatives, research and special projects for the funder.

The foundation, which was created through a merger of two community foundations and opened in January, has $1.5 billion in assets.

Clement Glass joined the Silicon Valley Community Foundation after leaving her post as director of programs at The San Francisco Foundation, which she joined in 1993 as education program officer.
