A new partnership was launched Feb. 1 to provide pro-bono human resources consulting services for some North Carolina nonprofits.
The N.C. Center for Nonprofits and the Raleigh-Wake Human Resources Management Association are working together to present the Human Resources Assistance Program to center members.
While nonprofits are governed by many of the same state and federal labor laws as the business sector, many small nonprofits do not have the resources to employ a dedicated human resources professional.
The new program is designed to help the center’s member groups with issues including salaries, benefits and hiring practices, the center says.
By contacting the center’s board and staff helpline, member nonprofits can receive up to one hour of free help.
