RALEIGH, N.C. — The 10th annual North Carolina Conference on Homelessness will take place April 10-11 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh and will include two new features.
More than 10 financial sponsors and project coordinators involved in work with the homeless, including the SOAR initiative at N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Father Bill’s Place shelter, will be on hand for 20-minute. one-on-one sessions with conference participants.
And a dinner discussion of two books sold at last year’s conference, to be held at a local restaurant, will be open to all.
The N.C. Coalition to End Homelessness will host a dessert welcome session and kick-off on Tuesday, April 9, as well as a “legislative afternoon” on April 10 during which participants will be encouraged to speak to their state legislators about community needs.
