Hospice house campaign exceeds goal

 |

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region surpassed its capital campaign goal, announcing recently that $10.6 million in gifts have been received in the $10 million campaign.

Funds raised will finance construction of the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, the first free-standing hospice facility in Mecklenburg County.

The house, to be opened in early 2008, will start out with 16 inpatient and residential hospice beds. Construction is already underway on 12 acres in Huntersville.

The house received its name in honor of contributions to the campaign from The Leon Levine Foundation and The Dickson Foundation.
