Meredith exceeds campaign goal

 |

RALEIGH, N.C. — Meredith College has surpassed its $33.5 million fundraising goal three months ahead of schedule, with $37 million raised since July 1, 2001.

The school reached the goal in the fall of 2006, thanks in part to a seven-figure gift from the parents of an alumna, according to a news release.

“The Campaign for Meredith” is the largest in the college’s history, eclipsing a 1994 campaign that raised $11.8 million, and will help fund $20 million in new scholarships, including seven new funds to support study-abroad opportunities.

The campaign is set to end June 30.
