Online-marketing program in works

Convio, an Austin-based software provider for nonprofits, is planning to launch a pilot program to help nonprofits use the Internet for fundraising and awareness campaigns.

The software company formed “The Nonprofit Online Marketing Academy” to help nonprofit professionals learn how to use the internet more effectively to raise money and build awareness.

A one-day workshop May 15 in Washington, D.C., will kick off the program, and the company says participants will learn how to create an Internet plan, form online fundraising campaigns and execute online awareness programs.

The initiative will be spearheaded by Convio’s Client Success Services team, which is composed of experts in online strategy and interactive marketing.
