Fueled by the acquisition of GetActive Software and the addition of new clients, Convio’s first-quarter revenue spiked 80 percent over the first quarter of 2006, the company says.
Austin-based Convio, which provides online constituent-management software for nonprofits, bought GetActive in February.
The combined company now serves more than 1,400 clients, including more than half of the top 50 nonprofits, ranked in terms of fundraising, Convio says.
The newly-combined sales force landed more new clients in the first quarter than expected, the company says, further boosting revenue for the period.
The privately-held company did not disclose details of its financial results but says it is on firm financial footing, with more than $15 million in cash on its balance sheet as of the first quarter of 2007.
