Homelessness group joins Council on Foundations

 |

The Partnership to End Long Term Homelessness has joined forces with the Council on Foundations to provide the national network of funders with strategic advice, experience and expertise on chronic homelessness.

The Partnership, which was created in 2004 to bring together grantmakers and leverage funding with the goal of ending long-term homelessness, will become an official affinity group of the Council on Foundations, a Washington, D.C.-based association of more than 2,000 grantmakers.

The Partnership’s goals include raising $100 million in funding from foundations, businesses and financial groups, building 150,000 supporting-housing units to serve more than 250,000 homeless people, and provide funds to fight homelessness.

The Council on Foundation’s affinity groups are collections of funders with common interests who share ideas and work on collaborative funding projects.
