Greensboro United Way honored

 |

Efforts by United Way of Greater Greensboro to secure big gifts from individual donors have been honored by United Way of America.

The local United Way has received a 2007 Fleur-de-Lis Award for Excellence in the category of “Most Million Dollar Roundtable Members.”

The award is giving each year to the Tocqueville Society, the group at local United Ways that solicits gifts of $10,000 or more, that secured the most gifts of $1 million or more in the previous year’s annual drive.

Chairing the Tocqueville Society for last year’s drive at United Way of Greater Greensboro were Kim and Gray McCaskill.
