UNCW connects students to Wall Street

 |

WILMINGTON, N.C. – A new financial laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington will give business school students hands-on experience with a leading stock exchange.

Created with a $150,000 gift from Edward Jones Financial Advisors, the Edward Jones Financial Markets Lab will connect students at the Cameron School of Business with the New York Stock Exchange.

The design of the real-time connection to the Exchange’s trading floor was led by Carolyn Polston and Patty Carter, both Edward Jones financial advisors with ties to the school.

Twenty-one other professionals from the firm assisted in the creation of the lab, which is part of the business school’s goal to provide best-in-class instruction in the business of investing.
