* Broad Contemporary Art Museum, Los Angeles, received $60 million donation from Eli and Edyth Broad, Los Angeles County Museum of Art trustees; museum to open Feb., 2008.

* AARP Foundation received $511,874 grant from John A. Hartford Foundation to support Professional Partners Supporting Family Caregiving Project.

* Bush Foundation’s additional grant of $1,249,919 to St. Paul, Minn. District to continuing Connected Counseling program from 2002, for which graduations rates have risen 8.7%.

* Through involvement of 27 foundations, 11 grants awarded to kick off second phase of Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future, national initiative led by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, along with Northwest Health Foundation.
