Cumberland United Way launches campaign

 |

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – United Way of Cumberland County will kick off its annual fundraising campaign with a luncheon August 28.

The charity raised $1.8 million last year, some of which went to the group’s Community Care Fund, which awards grants to agencies operating about 80 programs serving local community needs.

The campaign is schedule to run through October and organizers aim to raise more than last year, the group says.

The luncheon will be held at Snyder Memorial Church in Fayetteville and is sponsored by Tax-Sheltered Planning Inc and catered by B&B Catering.

The cost for lunch is $10 per person. For information, call 910.483.1179.
