Charlotte Urban League taps Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Urban League of Central Carolinas has named Patrick C. Graham as its new president and CEO, effective Sept. 17.

Graham comes to the agency from Crisis Assistance Ministry, where he has served as director of emergency financial assistance and economic self-sufficiency since 2001.

A native of New York, he also serves as president of the Diversity Council of the Carolinas and is on the boards of Energy Committed to Offenders and the N.C. Coalition to End Homelessness.

The local Urban League was created in 1978 and promotes economic self-sufficiency among African Americans through a variety of efforts, including computer education and training, employment assistance, personal development skills and career development.
