Linderman to chair Triangle Y

RALEIGH, N.C. – John Linderman, a Raleigh businessman and long-time supporter of the YMCA of the Triangle, will take over as board chair in October.

Linderman succeeds Smedes York, a Raleigh native and chairman of The York Companies, who is completing a two-year term as president and board chair.

Linderman is executive vice president of Grubb & Ellis/Thomas Linderman Graham and has supported the Triangle YMCA in various capacities, including as chair of the facilities committee and chair of the WeBuildPeople Campaign.

York, a long-time donor and volunteer for the YMCA was praised for his leadership and decades of support for the group.

The Triangle YMCA has 13 branches in Durham, Wake, Johnston, Lee and Pamlico counties.
