Timing and allocation of charitable giving


Albert Keith Whitaker of Wachovia Wealth Management, and Paul G. Schervish and John J. Havens of the Center on Wealth and Philanthropy at Boston College, say wealth-holders increasingly aim to deploy and share their resources with others during their lives, while limiting their giving to heirs.
