Arts Council renews grants program

 |

GREENSBORO, N.C. – With support from two funders, the United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro has reinstated its teacher art grant program it had suspended because of lack funding.

The Michel Family Foundation and the Deluxe Corporation Foundation have provided funding for the program and the council is seeking additional support for the current school year.

The grants are designed to support learning in the arts in a variety of ways, such as including arts education in core curricula, expanding offerings for K-12 students and facilitating partnerships between artists and schools.

Applications for the current grant cycle are available online and are due by 5 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2008.
