FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County United Way will reach out in September and October to community members through focus groups and a survey to get a better handle on local human-service needs.
A survey will be mailed to randomly-selected households across the county and distributed to neighborhood resource centers and libraries.
And United Way will hold 10 focus groups throughout the county, open to the public, to gain insights on topics including economics, education, healthcare, the military, public safety, recreation and cultural activities and the social environment.
After an initial session Sept. 4, focus groups will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
Sept. 18: Kiwanis Recreation Center
Sept. 23: Spring Lake Recreation Center
Sept. 25: Hope Mills Recreation Center
Sept. 30: Cliffdale Recreation Center
Oct. 2: Myers Recreation Center
Oct. 7: Smith Recreation Center
Oct. 16: College Lakes Recreation Center
Oct. 23: Eastover Recreation Center
Oct. 30: Stedman Recreation Center
