Emerging arts leaders to meet

 |

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Emerging leaders from the arts community in the Piedmont Triad area will meet in October to discuss the challenges facing the arts community.

The “Emerging Leader Creative Conversation,” scheduled for Oct. 23 and organized by the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts and the Piedmont Triad Partnership, is sponsored by Americans for the Arts.

The event is part of National Arts and Humanities Month.

Similar sessions last year drew over 1,000 arts professionals from 57 communities across the U.S.

The meeting in Greensboro will focus arts leaders’ role in creating an atmosphere in which artists feel compelled to give back to their communities.

The meeting is free and open to all arts professionals. Register online, or email amandab@kenanarts.org.
