 |

ASHEBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Zoological Society says its net support and operating revenue in the first 10 months of 2008 grew 18 percent, compared to the same period a year earlier.

The Zoo Society, the fundraising arm of the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, says it received over $2.8 million in net support through October, compared to $2.4 million in the same period a year ago.

That support reflected thousands of memberships and donations ranging from $1 to $250,000.
