Using staff as volunteers

When it comes to recruiting volunteers, many organizations are tempted to use their own employees. After all, current staff members are well-known, capable and pre-sold on the organization’s mission.

However, letting paid employees do the work of unpaid volunteers can have disastrous consequences for nonprofit and for-profit companies alike.
