Triad’s Salvation Army corps team up

 |

The eight Salvation Army corps in the Piedmont Triad are teaming up to improve and market their fundraising, programs and services.

Serving nearly 2,100 people a day in 11 counties, the Salvation Army says it is the largest private provider of food, shelter, clothing and youth development in the
region.

The eight corps in the new alliance aim to share best practices in fundraising and in executing programs and services.

The alliance will meet on a regular basis, host workshops and training for staff and volunteers of the eight corps, try to raise awareness of the Salvation Army and its work,
and jointly market the eight corps’ 15 family stores, possibly developing an online marketing effort.

While each individual corps will continue to handle its own fundraising, the alliance aims to develop collaborative fundraising efforts as well.
