Gates gives $15M to fight sleeping sickness

Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative received $15 million from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to undertake clinical development of new medicine to treat human African trypanosomiasis, also known as sleeping sickness, fatal disease that threatens 60 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa.
