July 30: Davidson College, Triangle Community Foundation, Consumer Credit Counseling and more

Annual fund contributions at Davidson College totaled nearly $10.78 million in 2009-10 fiscal year, exceeding $9.25 million goal, with 10,055 of 16,497 active alumni giving, or 61 percent, highest of any college or university in U.S. for the year.


Triangle Community Foundation increasing budget cap for its community grantmaking program to $1.5 million  from $750,000; announced over $207,000 to be divided among 16 nonprofits chosen.


Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Forsyth County received $36,000 from Chase Card Service, $40,000 from The Winston-Salem Foundation through the Bess Gray Plumly Fund and the Kerr and Naomi Pinnix Discretionary Fund, and $10,000 from The Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
