Open Society Foundations to give additional $5 million to its foundation in Pakistan to respond to humanitarian crisis from flooding.


New York Life Foundation gave two-year, $1.6 million grant to Developmental Studies Center to nationally expand access to its Afterschool KidsLit and Afterschool KidsMath enrichment programs.


Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action, or ARNOVA, received grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for new initiative designed to encourage new research focused on how public policy affects the work of nonprofits in U.S.


Meals On Wheels Association of America awarding special grants to 41 local Meals On Wheels programs across U.S., thanks to national grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation; half the bank’s $500,000 grant being used to develop program to allow struggling Meals On Wheels programs to restore meals cut because of stressed economy.
