Aug. 30: KFC, Boys & Girls Clubs, Open Society, and more

KFC gave over $4.2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, biggest gift it ever has received.


Boys & Girls Clubs of America awarded three-year, $3 million grant from Staples Foundation for Learning.


Open Society Foundations will match contributions dollar-for-dollar up to $500,000 from members of MoveOn and ColorOfChange.org to 18 local organizations leading long-term recovery efforts in New Orleans.


Daniels Fund making $11 million in grants, mainly to organizations serving people in need.
