Sept. 13: Knight, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, and more

John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will invest up to $5 million in endowed fund to foster “informed and engaged” Charlotte over next seven years through Foundation For The Carolinas.


Winston-Salem Foundation awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters Services $25,000 grant to provide adult mentors for teen moms in Forsyth County.


Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County was one of 400 Clubs across the country to receive $24,000 from the Walmart Foundation to help feed young Members during the summer of 2010.
