“Leading and Navigating in Challenging Times” will be the theme of a free summit for nonprofit leaders on Oct. 21 in Raleigh.
To be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Wells Fargo 2010 Triangle-East Nonprofit Leader Summit will include sessions on investment challenges and opportunities for nonprofits in the wake of the recession; trends and changes for nonprofit boards; grantmaking and resource-development; and nonprofit management.
Speakers include King McGlaughon, senior vice president and chief philanthropic officer, Wells Fargo Wealth Management, Philanthropic Services; Ron Florance, director of investment strategy and asset allocation, Wells Fargo Bank; Andrea Bazan, president, Triangle Community Foundation; Jennifer Tolle Whiteside, president and CEO, North Carolina Community Foundation; Mary Tschirhart, director, The Institute for Nonprofit Research, Education and Engagement, and professor of public administration, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, N.C. State University; and Todd Cohen, editor and publisher, Philanthropy Journal, a program of the Institute for Nonprofits at N.C. State.
