Nov. 1: Law firm, riding academy, CDCs, and more

CORRAL Riding Academy, serving at-risk and adjudicated young women, received $36,000 grant from Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.


Bell, Davis & Pitt law firm, Winston Salem, observing 30th anniversary by planting 30 trees along some of  main travelways in the city; sponsoring 30 kids this past summer at area’s YMCA camp; providing Thanksgiving dinners for 30 area families.


North Carolina Association of CDC’s getting $10,000 grant from Home Depot Foundation and National Alliance for Community and Economic Development Associations to stimulate green economies in underserved communities.
