Dec. 6: Michael Rierson, N.C. State, March of Dimes, and more

Michael Rierson. vice chancellor of university advancement, University of Houston, who held development jobs at Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Miami and University of South Florida, named senior vice president for development, The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, effective Jan. 1, 2011.


Elizabeth McFarlane, senior associate director of development, The John Hopkins School of Medicine, named associate director of regional major gifts, N.C. State University; Ethan Dodson, assistant director of reunion and leadership annual giving, University of Virginia, named development officer for regional major gifts, N.C. State.


Ed Weisiger Sr., board chairman, Carolina CAT, received 2010 March of Dimes “Celebrating Contributions to Charlotte” award.
