Jan. 3: SAFEchild, Mancini Foundation, Brady’s, and more

SAFEchild, Raleigh, awarded $35,000 grant from Sisters of Mercy North Carolina Foundation; funds will be used to support forensic specialist trained in interviewing alleged child victims of sexual and physical abuse at new SAFEchild Advocacy Center.


Wesley Mancini Foundation, Charlotte, awarded grants of $2,500 to UNCC Women’s and Gender Studies Program, $1,000 to UNCC Multicultural Resource Center Transgender Committee, and $1,500 to Campus Pride and Time Out Youth.


Greensboro-based Brady’s Triangle operation delivered over 3,200 cans of food to Durham warehouse, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
