Feb. 7: Payday lending, Templeton, Marines, and more

A new report by the Center for Public Integrity says payday lenders have quietly affiliated themselves with Indian tribes to skirt government oversight of high-interest, online loans.


John Templeton Foundation created new executive leadership team, including Barnaby Marsh, executive vice president, strategic initiatives; Michael Murray, executive vice president, programs; Dawn Bryant, executive counsel; and Douglas W. Scott, chief administrative officer.


Retired Lt. Gen. Robert R. Blackman Jr., U.S. Marine Corps, named president and CEO, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, succeeding Lt. Gen. Ron Christmas.
