Feb. 14: Food banks, Special Olympics, Miracle League, and more

North Carolina Attorney General’s Office distributing total of $741,220 — state’s share of national settlement 23 state attorneys general reached with major vitamin manufacturers — to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, Winston-Salem; Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, Charlotte; Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina, Fayetteville; Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, Raleigh;  Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Raleigh; MANNA Food Bank, Asheville.

Special Olympics North Carolina received two $5,000 grants from Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation.

Endowment established at Cary Community Foundation to benefit Miracle League of the Triangle, nonprofit that serves nearly 300 children with special needs and their families through baseball.
