March 2: Ducks Unlimited, Triangle AFP, WakeMed Foundation, and more

North Carolina chapters, Ducks Unlimited, raised $27 million to conserve 70,000 acres in the state and on breeding grounds important to the state, part of national Ducks Unlimited campaign that raised $1.7 billion for North American Wetlands Trust.


Triangle Chapter, Association of Fundraising Professionals, received Charles R. Stephens Excellence in Diversity Award from AFP for year’s most outstanding demonstration by AFP chapters of leadership, creativity and initiative in building diversity in membership or programming.


WakeMed Foundation named six new board members — Audie P. Barefoot Jr., Howie J. Jung, Kristin Gatchel Replogle, R. Michael Gray, Peter M. Scott III, and Richard (Rick) B. Guirlinger.


RTI International received 2010 Chairman’s Award of Excellence for Best Overall Performance by United Way of the Greater Triangle.


Richard Mills, business officer N.C. Division of Public Health, and and Peyman Zand, principal, Applied Vision Group, named to board of directors, Rebuilding Together of the Triangle.
