June 13: BJH names executive, Villaneuva leaving Kate B., garden program in works, and more

Wendee Cutler, executive assistant, BJH Foundation for Senior Services, Greensboro, named executive director.


Edgar Villaneuva, senior program officer in the health care division of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, is leaving the foundation on July 1, initially to work as a consultant.


Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina partnering with North Carolina Recreation and Park Association to launch Nourishing North Carolina, statewide community-garden program.


Laura Meyer Wellman, executive vice president, Foundation for the Carolinas, named Honorary Consul of France to Charlotte.


Dr. George C. Simkins Jr. Scholarship program moved to The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro; annual golf-tournament fundraiser of International Civil Rights Center & Museum renamed for Simkins.
