June 21: Urban Ministry, Action for Children, Women’s Giving Circle, and more

BB&T employees, Greensboro, distributed 200 bags of non-perishable food items for 100 children through Greensboro Urban Ministry.


Action for Children North Carolina received $110,000 grant from Public Welfare Foundation to support campaign to expand juvenile court jurisdiction in state to include 16- and 17-year olds.


Women’s Giving Circle of Fayetteville awarded total of $49,340 to three nonprofits in Cumberland County that focus on homelessness for women and children – Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch, Cumberland Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Grace & Mercy House; giving circle now has awarded total of $125,340 in grants since it was founded in 2008.


Guilford Child Development received $5,000 grant from Head Start Body Start National Center for Physical Development and Outdoor Play to improve outdoor play space at two centers in High Point and Greensboro.
