July 19: Education, Cancer, Triangle, and more

Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Charlotte, says it will invest $50 million over three years in education initiatives leading to economic self-sufficiency through employment.

Triad Golfers Against Cancer awarded total of $285,000 in annual cancer research grants to comprehensive cancer centers at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, Wake Forest University, and Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Aug. 15 is deadline for submitting applications to Triangle Community Foundation, Durham, for fall 2011 cycle of community grantmaking program; information sessions to be held July 21, 26 and 27.
