GREENSBORO, N.C. — The post-baccalaureate certificate program in nonprofit management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro now will be offered online.
Starting with the 2011 summer session, the program is offering each of its eight courses on the web.
“Adding a new online option allows us to extend our program to students who are unable to travel to campus or who simply like the convenience of learning when and where they choose,” says Darlene Rodriguez, program coordinator.
Students must complete 15 hours of instruction, including required courses in nonprofit management and leadership, philanthropy and resource development, and budgeting and financial management.
The program also offers electives in marketing, strategic planning, grant-writing, nonprofit law, and volunteer management.
Students can apply credit hours they earn towards a master’s degree in public affairs.
