July 27: BJH Foundation, Children’s Initiative, Women’s Fund, and more

BJH Foundation for Senior Services, Greensboro, awarded over $152,000 in grants to 17 different programs aimed at improving the lives of Jewish seniors in the Carolinas, bringing total grants the foundation has awarded over past five years to more than $723,000.


East Durham Children’s Initiative received grant of $100,000 a year for next three years from Hirsch Family Foundation.


Sept. 16 is deadline for submitting grant applications to North Carolina Community Foundation for projects funded from its statewide Women’s Fund, which this year will award total of $9,000, with grants typically ranging from $1,000 to $2,000.
