Aug. 31: Emerging leaders, United Way, power2give, and more

Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, running program Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 for 50 emerging leaders at nonprofits from throughout N.C. and U.S.


Richard “Dick” Padlo, former executive director, SOFTLY International, named vice president of principal gifts, United Way of the Greater Triangle, Morrisville.


Arts & Science Council, Charlotte, launched power2give.org, with five projects fully funded on the website and 105 donations from 84 individuals totaling over $10,000; fundraising site received $250,000 investment from John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.


Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk and 5K run benefiting Greensboro Urban Ministry to fund Potter’s House Community Kitchen will be held Oct. 23 at NewBridge Bank Park.


The 2011 Tanglewood Heart and Stroke Walk will be held Oct. 15 at Tanglewood Park, Clemmons, sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health and TE Connectivity.
