Oct. 19: Band Together, Wake Tech, High Point University, and more

Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, Raleigh, selected as 2013 nonprofit recipient of proceeds from Band Together NC, Triangle-area nonprofit that uses live music to raise funds and awareness for other local nonprofits.


Graduates Mark and Rachel Selisker donated $25,000 to launch Stephen C. Scott Presidential Scholars Program, Wake Technical Community College; Wake Tech Foundation aims to raise $1 million to support four scholars each year; program named for school’s president.


Smith Library, High Point University, received $10,000 grant from The International Society for Science and Religion to add over 200 books to library’s collection.
