The Bumi Sehat Foundation received a Dollar for Dollar Challenge Grant from Hyperbiotics to help complete its new health clinic in Bali, Indonesia; the Dollar for Dollar Challenge Drive concluded on August 31st. 

Mr. Charles Chen Yidan, China’s Philanthropist of the Year and a core founder of Tencent Holdings Limited has established the Yidan Prize with an endowment of $320 million and annual awards of $7.6 million divided between two categories – The Yidan Prize for Education Research and The Yidan Prize for Education Development.

The entire fleet of Medical Teams International mobile dental vans in Oregon and Washington will upgrade from film-based X-ray equipment to digital radiography, thanks to the generosity of the Rose E. Tucker Charitable Trust, the Maybelle Clark MacDonald Fund, the Joseph Weston Foundation, the Hedco Foundation, the Oregon Community Foundation (William Swindells, Sr. Memorial Fund), and an anonymous Washington family foundation.

APOPO will partner with Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania to begin a five year tree-planting project in the Uluguru Mountains in Tanzania.
