Greene County Community Foundation, an affiliate of North Carolina Community Foundation awarded grants from its community grantmaking fund to Greene County Middle School Board, Greene County Public Library, Greene County Schools, Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Prevent Blindness North Carolina, and Snow Hill Primary.

Waste Industries has donated nearly $1 million to nonprofits through its Full Circle Project.

The Durham Arts Council, partnering with the City of Durham and the North Carolina Arts Council, received a National Endowment for the Arts Our Town grant that will launch the Durham SmART Vision Plan.

Bank of America named Triangle Family Services as a 2016 Neighborhood Builder, the bank will donate $200,000 to support the organization. 

Student Action with Farmworkers and the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry held a volunteer day on November 12 to distribute hurricane relief donations to farmworkers.

Raleigh Arts staff receive award on behalf of the Arts Learning Community for Universal Access

The NC Recreation & Parks Association selected the Arts Learning Community for Universal Access, funded in part by United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, to receive its 2016 Arts & Humanities Award which was given to Raleigh Arts staff on behalf of the community at the NCRPA Conference in Charlotte.

Dean’s Seafood Grill & Bar launched a Monthly Prix Fixe Charity Menu on November 1st, that will benefit designated charities on a monthly basis; November’s contributions will go to Lenoir/Greene United Way to help with hurricane relief efforts. 

Dorcas Ministries delivered two truckloads of supplies to Lumberton, NC on October 28th, to assist with hurricane recovery efforts. 

The Potters of the Piedmont Pottery Festival was held on November 12th, at the Leonard Recreation Center in Greensboro. Potters of the Piedmont partnered with Greensboro Urban Ministry‘s Feat of Caring Mosaic-A Lifespan Studio.

The Chowan Community Funds Foundation, an affiliate of North Carolina Community Foundation, added Robert Christian “Chris” Ford as an advisory board member.

Fair Traders, supported by Eastern North Carolina Stop Human Trafficking, participated in the Down East Holiday Show in Greenville, from November 4th-6th.

Touring Theatre of North Carolina presented Dr. Claribel, Miss Etta, and the Brothers Cone: Glimpses into the Lively Relationships Betwen Sisters and Brothers in Greensboro, November 3rd-5th.

The 2016 Take Flight with SHIFT NC fundraiser, auction, and benefit on September 17th, in Durham, raised over $35,000 to support the health of North Carolina youth.

InterAct appointed Tyler Confrey-Maloney, Brian Crisp, Jessica Holmes, Tracey Martin, Kawaljit Pasricha, and Edward Schenk, III to its Board of Directors.

On October 8th, Dr. Steve King received the John O. Blackburn Award at the NC WARN Member Assembly in Durham.

The Girlz and Boyz of Green Queen Bingo will host Big Top Bingo on November 18th; proceeds benefit the Guilford Green Foundation

Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases on Amazon Smile to Family Care Center of Catawba Valley, Inc. to help homeless families with dependent children during the holiday season. 

Triangle Family Services will host the 14th Annual Gingerbread Benefit on December 1st, at The Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham.

Executive Service Corps of the Triangle will host “Good to Great: 2 Leaders, 1 Partnership,” a workshop aimed at enhancing the relationship between an organizations executive director and board chair, from December 9th-11th, in Durham. 

Activategood.org is seeking families to volunteers for Family Volunteer Day to be held on November 19th. 

The Duke Sanford Center for Strategic Philanthropy & Civil Society‘s Foundation Impact Research Group well host a seminar—Investing in Our Future: How Early Childhood Development Became a Chief Priority for the Pritzker Foundation— on November 16th. 

Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast will host a luncheon, “Finding Solutions Through Science, Scholars & Survivors,” on November 16th, in Chapel Hill.

Triangle chefs will compete to win the title of Soup-erior Chef at Urban Ministries of Wake County’s twelfth annual Stone Soup Supper on November 16th.  Funds raised from the event will be used to feed, shelter, and provide healthcare to low income individuals.

Durham Arts Council will host 2017 Winter and Spring Classes; registration is open.

Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Triangle NC will accept submissions for presentations at the 2017 #NonprofitSTRONG Summit until December 12th. 

Volunteers needed at the Durham Art Walk Holiday Market, presented by Durham Arts Council, which will be held from November 19th-20th. 

Jazz Arts Initiative will host “A Preservation Hall All-Stars Christmas” on December 6th, in Charlotte.

4Good will host a webinar—Creating a Development Plan by Linda Lysakowski—on November 16th.

Triangle Community Foundation will accept grant proposals for Send A Kid To Camp until January 15th.

Capital Access Solutions and Mountaintop Productions Public Relations will hold a Grant Writing & Storytelling Seminar on November 29th in Smithfield.
