John Rex Endowment made more than $1 million in grants for Wake County Public School System and Youth Thrive to support positive mental health in Wake County.

The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design is granting $10,000 each to Gregg Moore and Tobias Landberg for their ongoing work on farming technology and bone china quality, Ryan Hoover and Walter Zimbeck who are working on “Crafting Cum Vivo”, and Jeffrey Karson and Robert J. Wysocki who are working on producing analog lava flows coming from real basaltic lava.

The American Heart Association appointed its first Triad Board of Directors. Board members include Dr. Allison Brashear who will serve as President, Thomas Wagner as Board Chairman and David Wagner as President Elect. 

The Mint Museum Uptown held The Latin Music Concert Series on March 30th which featured Andean music with various musical rhythms from Latin America. 

The Hispanic League held their 7th annual International Wine Tasting on Saturday March 11th, the event included networking for local stakeholders and music from Oscar Oviedo. 

Emily Kryzweski Center held a Career Exploration Night in late March where students explored history, science, and college options as they think about  what career they want to pursue.

The Salvation Army of Wake County opened its second Family Store in North Raleigh on Friday, March 31st. 

Greensboro Urban Ministry and Out of the Garden Project partnered on March 29th for food distribution for families at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.

Registration is open for the Conference on Ending Homelessness in North Carolina which will be held on May 8th-9th in Raleigh. 

Say Yes Guilford Scholarship Board announced adjustments to the criteria for eligibility for 2017-18 Say Yes scholarships for Guilford County students.

 The NC Transportation Museum on April 8th-9th and 14th-15th is having “Easter Bunny Express” where there will be a train ride, face painting, the Easter Bunny, and more.  

Duplin, Robeson, Vance, Robeson and Columbus Counties as part of the NC Community Foundation are accepting grant applications for their community grant making funds. 

Third Space Studio is seeking organizations whose budget is below $2 million to share their data in this year’s Individual Donor Benchmark Survey. The survey will be open through April 7th.

The YNPN Triangle NC #NonprofitSTRONG will take place on April 28 in Durham.
The Triangle North Healthcare Foundation will open its 2017 Grant Cycle on April 3rd, Letters of Interest are due to the foundation by May 15th. 
ArtsGreensboro, in partnership with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Guilford Merchants Association, and the North Carolina Entrepreneurship Center at UNCG, is accepting nominations for the 2017 Arts in Business Award.
Burning Coal Theatre Company will present their regular Oakwood “cemetery full of life!” plays from May 19th-21st, this year highlighting notable immigrants and their contributions to the Raleigh community.
The Nonprofit Learning Lab is having the “Online Nonprofit Institute” on April 19th. The workshops will consist of strategies which are aimed at helping nonprofit professionals in management skills. 
The Center for Volunteer Caregiving is having its 2017 Red Carpet Rendezvous on April 28th in Raleigh. The event celebrates its 25th anniversary and service of the organization to the local community and will feature entertainment, auctions, music, and more. 
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is having a free showcase on April 8th titled Triangle SciTech Expo which will feature various hands-on exhibits, games, presentations, and more. 
Project NO REST’s 2017 human trafficking conference “FEET on the Ground in NC: Fortifying Efforts to Eradicate Human Trafficking” will take place on August 15th-16th in Asheville. 
United Way of Alamance County will hold “Taste of Alamance” on April 24th, to raise funds for the organization.
