As part of their second annual #MooreHelp campaign for Operation BBQ Relief, Moore’s Marinades & Sauces raised more than $20,000 to support the organization’s cause.

Fifth Third Bancorp and the Fifth Third Bank Foundation collectively contributed more than $500,000 to support relief efforts for those impacted by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation donated $25,000 to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston to help children suffering from Hurricane Harvey. The money, which was raised through the sale of a limited-edition T-shirt, will support the hospital’s Harvey Resiliency and Recovery Program as part of their Trauma and Grief Center.

CDM Smith’s employees participating in the firm’s wellness program have chosen to support two charities this quarter, Meals on Wheels America and Wounded Warrior Project.  Tim Wall, CDM Smith Chief Executive Officer Elect, presented checks for $12,500 to both nonprofit organizations, whose missions directly reflect employees’ values. Representatives from both organizations attended a check presentation ceremony at the firm’s Boston headquarters on November 13th.

TeamChildren founder Robert Toporek will distribute refurbished desktop computers and laptops to at least 500 economically challenged families, teachers, and nonprofit organizations this holiday season.

Search to Involve Pilipino Americans marked its 45th year of service to the Pilipino community with an awards gala and benefit dinner on November 17th.

A Leg To Stand On’s 14th Annual Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest raised a record-breaking $740,000 to benefit the organization’s life-changing programs in the developing world in 2018.

The Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) has named President and CEO, Steve Caldeira, and his wife Jane, the So Others Might Eat (SOME) “Humanitarians of the Year.” Steve and Jane accepted their awards at the 2017 SOME Gala on Saturday, November 18th in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 350 kids participated in the UnitedHealthcare IRONKIDS® Arizona Fun Run on November 18th at Tempe Beach Park. UnitedHealthcare mascot Dr. Health E. Hound helped State Rep. Reginald Bolding, Tempe Councilmembers Kolby Granville and David Schapira, and Joseph Gaudio, CEO, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Arizona kick off the fun run.

The Women Donors Network will be embracing an increasingly intersectional progressive movement by doing away with issue silos in all future giving. The network will now organize itself around broad cross-issue impact areas, allowing easier funding for cross-issue work, progressive causes that fall outside of traditional issue areas, and funding models that more closely align with the work in the progressive movement.

On November 23rd, more than 3,000 The Cheesecake Factory staff members gathered together in 13 cities around the country to prepare and serve sit-down meals to those in need at the organization’s 16th annual Thanksgiving Day Feast.

Help For Children presented its first annual HFC Rocks, featuring The Goo Goo Dolls and The Record Company. The event raised nearly $1 million to support organizations that prevent and treat child abuse.

On Sunday, November 19th, the National Building Museum in Washington, DC hosted CANstruction DC 2017. This year’s theme, CANnect with Nature, challenged teams from architecture and design firms in the DC area to create structures such as bee hives, gardens, animals and more out of cans.

The Ignite Institute will hold a series of micro-sessions designed to prepare ethical, socially responsible, and resilient leaders on November 29th in San Francisco. 

The Data Quality Campaign will hold a media conference call in advance of the release of its new report, Show Me the Data 2017, on December 6th.
