The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust awarded an $18 million grant for the construction of the Helmsley Health Discovery Tower on the Rambam campus in Haifa, Israel.

The National Geographic SocietyAfrican Parks, the Wyss Foundation and the Republic of Benin announced a groundbreaking partnership to help secure and rehabilitate one of the last remaining wild landscapes in all of West Africa, Benin’s Pendjari National Park. Together, the four partners are initially committing more than US$23M to safeguard the park.

The Blavatnik Family Foundation and the New York Academy of Sciences has awarded the 2018 Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists in the United Kingdom. One Laureate in each of the three Blavatnik Awards categories—Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemistry—will each receive an unrestricted prize of US$100,000; additionally, two Finalists in each category will each receive unrestricted prizes of US$30,000.

LifeNet International received a $300,000 grant installment from The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to fund life-saving and life-improving healthcare trainings with Catholic Sister-led health facilities in Uganda.
